Emily Mitchell graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design with MA Communication Design. She has been Course Leader for the BA Hons Illustration programme at Hereford College of Arts and has been a visiting lecturer at many illustration courses across the UK. Most recently, she has lectured at Camberwell MA Illustration, Manchester Metropolitan University BA Hons Illustration and Plymouth University, BA Hons Illustration. Emily is currently a senior lecturer for the BA Hons Illustration course at UCA Maidstone. Until 2011 Emily was External Examiner for Illustration Arts at South Devon College. She is currently External Examiner for the BA Hons Illustration course at Norwich University College of the Arts. Emily's work is held in collections in the UK and in the USA. She has exhibited at the London Artists Book Fair and the Hay-on-Wye Literature Festival and is currently working with the writer, Jo Davies on a book exploring contemporary illustration, as a contributor on Authorial Practice.
